We are located on Crystal Lake which is an excellent lake trout, smallmouth bass, and northern pike lake. Catches of 100 bass a day are not uncommon on our lake, and some guests have experienced over 40 lake trout in one day of fishing! Although our lake only has a few walleye, many excellent walleye fishing opportunities exist in some of the surrounding lakes that are saturated with them. A lot of our die-hard walleye fisherman utilize our resort as a 'base camp' to access the remote walleye waters, which allows them to choose a different lake to fish each day if they wish. Our guests pick from over 20 local lakes to fish in the area all within a reasonable drive from our camp, which allows for fisherman to fish in all types of weather as some lakes are wide open and others have many bays and islands for protection.

Perhaps the most widely known lake in the area is Marmion lake, which produces the largest smallmouth bass anywhere in Northwest Ontario on a regular basis. Bass in the 4-6 pound range are not uncommon, with some having been caught up to 7 pounds! Marmion Lake is approx. 24000 acres of water and is a backed up floodwater system of the Seine River, which is one of the largest tributaries to Rainy Lake. Along with being a world class bass fishery, it is an excellent walleye fishery and produces huge northern pike as well. One of our regular guests landed a mammoth over 52 inches! We have guests that travel as from as far away as Florida, Texas and California to experience some of the world class smallmouth fishing found in numerous lakes around our camp! We highly encourage catch and release of all trophy fish to allow for excellent fishing for generations to come.

Walleye Lake trout action is hot on our lake iin the winter and some nearby remote lakes provide for some exceptional northern Ontario Northern pike and walleye angling. Come October every year, we cater groups of resident moose hunters as well, as we are centrally located in WMU 11A, 12B, and 11B.

Although we operate primarily as a fishing base camp, our guests do enjoy some of the other local activities and attractions surrounding us. Only 20 minutes away is the small historic tourist town of Atikokan, which has various activities and attractions such as a golf course, walleye hatchery, a beautiful waterfall, canoe builders, restaurants, hiking trails, and some shopping opportunities. There is also a nicely stocked grocery store and a local hospital for any unforeseen emergencies.
