The Atikokan area has hundreds of miles of logging roads open to the ATV enthusiast. Many of these trails are constructed solely for the purpose of logging, and rarely used after the cutting operations are completed.
These trails provide any rider ample opportunity to spend day after day exploring new and remote areas. Don't forget to strap a little fishing gear on your rack, as many of these log trails pass within close proximity to many lakes that have no landing access to them, providing for outstanding fishing opportunity right from shore!
From our camp, you only have to trailer your quads less than a mile to get to log roads that seem to connect to endless trails. These trails are quite remote, so we recommend having a good map or GPS unit to keep track of where your ventures lead you. We do have maps available at the camp upon request.
Expect to see a variety of wildlife while out and about on your trek. Many moose, timber wolves, coyotes, red fox, grouse, rabbits, eagles, and whitetail deer inhabit our entire surrounding wilderness. On occasion, you may even stumble across a black bear during day light hours. Don't forget the camera to capture any wildlife encounters and to photo memorable sunsets and wilderness portraits.
Come on a mid-summer rendezvous, and pack a picnic basket and grab your swim trunks to have lunch and have a swim at a secluded, pristine, lake - all to yourselves!
Some of our guests come with a canoe/boat rack built onto their atv, and fish only remote lakes that the average person can't access with a vehicle. These small lakes always provide for the very best fishing anywhere for all species.
